Event and Marketing Intern Job Description:
"Event and Marketing Intern will be part of a high performance entrepreneurial environment and fast-growing food business. Learn how a small business operates on a daily basis. Be exposed to all aspects of running a food operation - from chocolate making and order fulfillment to marketing, social media, and event coordination. The Marketing Intern program will be tailored to the intern’s interests, skill set, ability, and business needs."
Qualifications:
"Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in person and on the phone Friendly, warm and upbeat. Candidate needs to have a clean-cut, professional appearance and a sense of what's appropriate and acceptable in a business environment Energetic and enthusiastic; highly committed and loyal; can-do attitude Good character, punctual, reliable and flexible Well organized; ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously, often under tight deadlines Must have reliable transportation to get to and from various events, meetings, events, etc. Minimum 25 hour week"

Achievements:
- Planned the Mother's Day and Father's Day events independently
- Since the company holds events every weekend, I have received a lot of experience prepping and setting up for events
- Experience running social media accounts
- Ran Farmer's Market events independently
- Traveled to Houston to work a wine and food festival
- Daily customer service practice
- Worked Southbites in SXSW
- A greater understanding of the Austin area and the different kind of businesses there
- The ability to improve my photography skills by taking pictures of products for the website and at the Easter event
